Due to the lack of entries and unforeseen circumstances the Christmas show is to be cancelled

Class 1 – Best Turned out
Rider any age any size
Class 2 – Equitation (under 10’s)
Class 3 – Equitation (10 and over)
Class 3 – Bareback Equitation (under 10’s)
Neck straps are permitted and no canter will be included.
Class 4 – Bareback Equitation (10 and over)
Neck straps are permitted and canter will be optional and in the individual show only.
Class 5 – Fancy dress
Riders any age, horses/ponies any height. May be mounted or unmounted but must incorporate both horse and rider. Riders must wear a riding hat at all times whilst mounted.

Class 6 – Lead Rein jumping (30cm)
Class 7 – Starters jumping (55cm)
A one phase jumping competition. Fences not to exceed 55cm. One round of fences, second half of the course will be timed. Normal Pony Club showjumping rules apply.
Class 8 – Novice jumping (65cm)
A one phase jumping competition. Fences not to exceed 65cm. One round of fences, second half of the course will be timed. Normal Pony Club showjumping rules apply.
Class 9 – Intermediate jumping (75cm)
A one phase jumping competition. Fences not to exceed 75cm. One round of fences, second half of the course will be timed. Normal Pony Club showjumping rules apply.
Class 10 – Open jumping (85cm)
A one phase jumping competition. Fences not to exceed 85cm. One round of fences, second half of the course will be timed. Normal Pony Club showjumping rules apply.
Class 11 – Puissance (chase me charley)
Open to riders of any age, and horses/ponies of any height. First fence will be approx. 75cm, and it is the responsibility of the rider/their guardian to ensure they are capable of jumping the fence presented.

You may add to the classes you have entered on the day, time permitting.
Show dress is optional for all classes. Riders may opt to wear fancy dress other festive clothes such as Christmas jumpers or casual riding wear however all members taking part in any class must comply with the following minimum requirements; a riding hat compliant with the current safety standards, riding boots with smooth soles and a defined heel, jodhpurs or breeches and long sleeves for all jumping classes. Any fancy dress worn in these classes must be reasonably secure and not restrictive to horse or rider. Extras such as tinsel, ribbons and bells are permitted on tack as long as they are suitably secured and not causing any distress to the horse.
Open to all current members of Pony Club branch or centre members including associate members. This show is intended to be a fun event for the end of year and as such we trust members to be honest in their own abilities when entering classes. .
1. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
2. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
3. All non Pony Club competitors are not covered by the Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Wheelton Branch of the Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non members and their insurance will not cover you.
